The store selections are bursting in rainbow shades right now! There are pastels and neon, alike. I thought it would be a good season to talk about color a little bit.
I love this piece that I am wearing so much. In the past, I struggled with color so much. I did not feel confident enough to wear it. But ladies, I can tell you that when you let go and fall in love with all colors, such a change is brought on, not only in the looks of your closet but the way you feel walking out of it. With the new colors that I added to my collection, even the ones that I felt did not particularly look good on me, surprised me so much with the multitude of complements I received.
Personally, I think that blacks and whites go the best with yellow. Yellow is already such a bright, outstanding color that it says it all without the need for much more talk. Here, I wore black open toe pumps and white nail polish with white sunglasses to complement. By keeping the accent colors on the natural side, this gives all the attention to the beauty of the yellow day gown.
The fabric is on the heavier side but still perfect for summer, especially in the evening. It is made of jacquard, a linen and polyester blend and this is how the intricate design of the raised rose imprints are made, because instead of printing the design directly on the fabric, the art is woven in to give it that raised appearance.
As a long time lover of Monique Lhuiller, I have the tendency to want every single one of here pieces. She is incredibly romantic and whimsical, which are the two main words that describe my style. She nails romance in the bud with her prints, fabrics and sweeping designs. She redefines the bridal looks and even what women can and should wear every day.
I challenge you to wear a new color today. Pair it with a neutral so you still feel safe and I think that you will be pleasantly surprised.
Xoxo
Lauren
